"When Rarity's sister Sweetie Belle stays at her house while her parents are on vacation, the two sisters get caught in conflicts and quarrels. Meanwhile, the Sisterhooves Social, an event themed around sisterly unity, is fast approaching."
"Now i see why they had all of the ponies having to write to Celestia, so that they wouldn't have to cram Twilight Sparkle into every episode now. Which in this episode is true, as Twilight only makes a brief cameo and has no speaking parts... a sad day for Twilight fans such as myself ;_;
This wasn't a bad episode in any regard, and if you're a fan of Rarity you'll enjoy it. Especially towards the end of the episode."
That scene where Rarity looks at Sweetie Belle's picture made me tear up... even though I saw a scene like that coming as soon as Sweetie Belle made the darn thing. D:
The whole episode in general reminded me of my younger sister. I remember the stupid things we'd always do together and this episode touched me the most out of the other episodes in season 2. The Luna episode remains my favorite, but this one comes in pretty close as a personal favorite.
At first, I HATED Rarity in this episode, but then she became my favorite again at the end.
Seriously, this has to be one of my favorite episodes in both seasons, it featured freaking SWEETIEBELLE! That automatically makes it awesome!
Oh, and I agree with Derp-a-herp, she looks MARVELOUS with it down.
I think I just found my favorite pony something everyone has been asking me about since I first became a brony. Either Sweetie belle or Granny smith. when I first saw Raritys dad I though he was mexican. Lol
If you look at Dinkie's (very) slightly purple-ish coat you'll notice a similarity to her sister in the episode.
Both are unicorns, which means the unicorn gene must be dominant over the pegasus gene, and the purple coat gene must also be dominant of Ditzy/Derpy's gray coat.
They take after their father, who must have been/is a purple unicorn.
I know this is late, and it's only a few hours before the next episode airs, but better late than never.
I find it funny that Sweetie Belle can draw with her mouth better than most people can with their hands.
Anyway, Quite good episode, should reassure you that heartwarming is still going to be in this season and it's not always going to be over the top insane. I wonder which episode is going to be the one with the heartbreaking moment though, cause the picture is close, but it's not Seymour level. I think they could do something more. No doubt when the "Farewell" episode occurs, everyone will be crying. But that could be a while off (or it's episode nine, but I doubt it is).
To be honest, I prefer episodes with more characters in it, so only having 2 of the mane and no Twilight was a little depressing. If Green isn't your colour was just Rarity and Fluttershy, it wouldn't be as fun. They can do episodes with less characters, I just prefer the episodes with a lot of characters more.
This episode was quite funny though, not as funny as Lesson Zero or Luna Eclipsed but it has it's moments. Quite a couple of good background gags as well. I noticed Rarity still has the Gala Dresses and they are fixed up, so either it's plot recycling or we might see the Gala dresses again.
As for final thoughts, a good episode, probably not going to be my series favourite, but good none the less. Let's have some Fluttershy and a song this series soon please.
